Don't worry, I have got you covered!
A wedding is a time of celebration...
And pressure to make the moment perfect.
Cross your dress off your list because...you're with me now.
I'll call to confirm your appointment shortly.
Read on to find out what to expect at your appointment.
But first, a quick story....
In 2021 a bride wanted a tender phrase that meant a lot to her and her groom embroidered into the dress. It was a beautiful customization.
Unfortunately, they had to postpone because of the lockdown.
Sooo....
I added the new date and crossed out the old one. The bride (pictured below) was thrilled with the result, and they now have a unique memory to keep for a lifetime.
These are the types of personal touches you'll experience with me.
Now back to what to expect at your alterations appointment.
First, please bring the shoes and undergarments you intend to wear on the big day. The fit will change if you change these items. Please come with your dress and/or any pictures of what you've in mind should you want, for instance, a sleeve added.
I'll pin the gown to indicate necessary alterations and set up 2-3 fittings for you. Keep in mind, all factories are different and all brides are different. Sometimes one fix affects another area, creating the need for unanticipated work to get the perfect fit and may require additional fittings.
Bring all your accessories to your last fitting, i.e. veil, jewelry or other items, and get your first glimpse of the full effect. You're also welcome to invite up to 3 people on your final visit. But please ask at least one person to come who'll be helping you with your bustle at the wedding.
We'll toast your gown with some champagne or sparkling cider and take a photo so you can see how beautiful you are.
And you'll go home ready to wow your future spouse on your wedding day.
Talk to you soon,
Maggie Burns
