Why Choose Couture?

Choosing Couture Wedding Gowns

Every little girl dreams of her perfect wedding gown. All crafted through the years of endless fairy tales and story books. These visions spark the imagination that some day you will find the dress of your dreams.

As many brides-to-be know, finding the gown of your dreams can be one of the most daunting experiences of the wedding process. Most women go out searching for the ‘perfect’ dress only to be disappointed when the dream isn’t realized.

Like our favorite storybook princesses, every woman deserves to be a princess on her special day too. Choosing to create a custom couture gown can fulfill the vision you’ve always dreamed of. Custom designs usually start around $700 for tulle and lace and go up when satin and silk is incorporated. The decision to go couture is not only a wedding day gift of a one-of-a-kind design, but it’s also an heirloom you can cherish for years to come.

At Marie-Margot Bridal Couture, we believe the process of constructing an original couture piece ensures that the fairy tale will become a reality.

Red Ball

When

On December 4, 2011, in celebration of Denver’s diverse, multi-cultural and arts-filled community, Denver Colorado AIDS Project will host the 3rd Annual Red Ball, a true “runway experience,” at the EXDO Event Center.

What

Red Ball is a chic, ultra-contemporary “runway experience” that spotlights local fashion designers and salons, providing an outlet to showcase their most innovative and inspired styles. More than 100 models will be featured at this year’s event.

Red Ball guests are invited to enjoy pre-event entertainment, such as a fire dancer, a cocktail reception, a silent auction, special guests, and an after-party with music from local DJs.

This one-of-a-kind, theater-inspired event brings together the entire Denver community for one spectacular evening, a night for event goers to see and be seen, with an ultimate goal of igniting awareness for World AIDS Day.

Funds raised at the Red Ball will be used to support the multitude of services provided by Denver Colorado AIDS Project (CAP). For more information, please visit CAP’s website and Facebook page or follow us on Twitter.

We are especially grateful for the charitable contributions from our 2011 sponsors and partners, without whom this “runway experience” would not be possible.

A preview of this “runway experience,” unlike any other, featuring designers and salons from Red Ball, will be held on November 25, 2011, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Holy Sh!t It’s Christmas event at Club M. Tickets for Red Ball will be available at this event.

Marie-Margot Bridal Couture on the 2010 Oscar Red Carpet

November 30, 2011 in Couture Experience, Events, News, Testimonials, Uncategorized

Marie-Margot Bridal Couture believes every woman should be wearing the dress of her dreams when she finds herself in the spotlight or on the red carpet of life. Last year, Marie-Margot Designer Maggie Burns was presented with the opportunity to create a one-of-kind red carpet dress for Highland, Colorado local Erin Breez.

Well-respected in the world of fashion for the company’s craftsmanship and personal connectivity, Marie-Margot came highly recommended by a Denver staple in the community. With years of experience, Designer Maggie Burns was up for the challenge to create a couture gown unlike any other. The gown was fashioned from teal silk chiffon and Lycra charmeuse fabric.

Erin Breez accompanied 2010 Best Short Documentary Oscar Nominee, Husband and Filmmaker Daniel Junge to the awards ceremony. Daniel Junge was nominated for “The Last Campaign of Governor Booth Gardner”, a documentary following the assisted suicide ballot initiative in Washington State. The short film was co-produced and co-directed by Henry Ansbache.

It was an opportunity and an experience of a lifetime; a designer’s dream come true and a chance to put Denver’s own talent on the map…Or, on the red carpet of the Oscars!

Erin Breez expressed her sincere appreciation for the Marie-Margot gown with an autographed red carpet photo. She wrote,

Dear Maggie,

Thank you so very much for your sole in one of the most memorable nights of our lives. It has been such a pleasure meeting and working with you.

With deep appreciation,
Erin

The Custom Dress Process

November 16, 2011 in Couture Experience, Uncategorized

At Marie-Margot Bridal Couture, creating the dress of your dreams begins with a consultation. During the initial consultation, you will be asked to share your personal sense of style, your vision for the occasion and the venue or setting. Once Designer Maggie Burns has an idea of what you want your dream dress to look like, she gets to work.

Maggie Burns

Marie Margot Bridal Couture

With a love for couture design and the honor of creating a treasured heirloom, Maggie Burns sketches the perfect dress for you. This final sketch is the beginning of your one-of-a-kind dress. Next, Maggie will take your measurements and help you choose the fabric. Initially, you will be fitted with muslin. Once the fit and design details of the muslin are absolutely perfect, your dream dress is started. Two to three more fittings, and you will have a one-of-a-kind dress you can cherish for years to come.
